Angel Huerta In Cross-Cultural Experience In Chicago

Angel Huerta, AHS ‘15 and daughter of Joe and Valentina, is participating in a Bluffton University crosscultural experience in Chicago during May.

Huerta, along with other BU students, is learning about the social, racial and economic struggles facing low income families in an urban environment.

They are living in a century old homeless shelter on the south side and engage in service work.

Huerta is a junior majoring in social work.

This experience will fulfill an undergraduate crosscultural requirement that must be completed before graduation. Students can either complete a cross-cultural experience or take six credit hours in one foreign language.
