Archbold Man Arrested For Allegedly Chasing Girls


Brandon Morris Brandon Morris Aaron Gladieux, a detective with the Fulton County Sheriff Department, confirmed an Archbold man is in jail after reportedly chasing one 13- year - ol d and one 14- year-old girl.

Brandon Morris, 20, rural Archbold, a 2017 AHS graduate, is being held at the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio on a charge of aggravated menacing.

Gladieux said around 7:30 pm, Tuesday, May 8, Morris allegedly drove past the two girls, who were walking along the county line road (Fulton Co. Rd. A/Henry County Rd. W) in the vicinity of Co. Rd. 24.

The girls left the road and went into a field. Morris allegedly stopped his vehicle, got out, and began chasing the two.

The girls were able to elude their pursuer and call 911.

Two FCSD deputies and a detective responded to the scene. Morris was found in the area.

He was stopped and placed under arrest.

Gladieux said Morris was taken to the Archbold Police Department, where he was interviewed, then booked into CCNO.

After consulting with Henry County officials, Morris was charged with aggravated menacing by Henry County Sheriff Department.

A hearing was held in Napoleon Municipal Court, Thursday, May 10. Morris entered a not-guilty plea. Bond was set at $100,000 cash, 10% payment not allowed.

Gladieux said there is the possibility of additional charges, based on items found in Morris’ vehicle.

“It’s an open investigation,” he said.
