Weather Shortens Eisenhart Invitational

Cold, blustery conditions at the start of the Tinora Bob Eisenhart Track Invitational only worsened, Friday evening, April 6, as the temperature dropped, snow flew sideways, and the meet was stopped at intermission.

A few events did finish.

Archbold swept the boys and girls 4x800-meter relay.

The boys team of Trey Theobald, Austin Roth, Daniel Nieves, and Caden Garrow won in 9 minutes, 12.48 seconds, almost seven seconds ahead of second-place Tinora.

The girls team of Kylie Sauder, Dakota Stamm, Gwynne Riley, and Brittney Ramirez won in 11:07.72, more than 30 seconds ahead of second-place Montpelier.

Nick Waidelich won the boys long jump with a jump of 17 feet, 11 1/4 inches. Teammate Cam Collins was eighth with a jump of 16-0.

Matthew Gladieux won the boys shot put with a throw of 44-1. Teammate Brian Ball was second at 43-8 3/4.

Gladieux also won the discus with a throw of 124-0. Teammate Mason Babcock was second at 118-4.

In the girls high jump, Shylo Richardson took second with a jump of 4-8 and Zoe Castillo was eighth at 4-0.

In the girls long jump, Castillo was fifth with a jump of 12-7 1/2.

In the girls shot put, Kiera Gensler finished eighth with a throw of 25-7 1/2.
