Roger L. Stamm, age 71 years, of Stryker, passed away Tuesday evening, Feb. 27, 2018, in his home, surrounded by his family.

He was born June 26, 1946, at Wauseon, the son of Walter and Martha (Eicher) Stamm.

A 1964 graduate of Archbold High School, he served in 1-W at Denver, Colo., and married Jeannie Stitt on Jan. 20, 1973.

He worked at Sauder Woodworking in Archbold for 30 years and owned and operated Stamm Forklift Sales and Service the past 20 years.

He served on the Board of Archbold Equipment (Redline Equipment) 24 years, serving as Chairman of the Board multiple years.

He helped with Mennonite Disaster Service many times, and enjoyed building and driving race cars, and spending time with family.

He was member of Lockport Mennonite Church, rural Stryker, where he was a trustee for 15 years.

He is survived by his wife, Jeannie; three children, twins, Shanan (Chad) Henline of Adrian, Mich., and Sherri (Pete) Mazzoni of Lavonia, Mich., and Shawn (Ana Schultz) Stamm of Archbold; seven grandchildren, Kennedy Hammon, Layne Hammon, Caden Henline, Chase Henline, Ethan Mazzoni, Cole Mazzoni and Colton Henline; two brothers, Edward (Karen) Stamm of Archbold and Dale (Leslie) Stamm of West Unity; two sisters, Pat Bondi and Karen (Ross) Wyse, both of Archbold.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services were held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Lockport Mennonite Church with Pastor Steven Heatwole officiating. Interment preceded at 10 a.m. in the Lockport Cemetery.

Short Funeral Home in Archbold was entrusted with the arrangements.
