The Streaks welcomed Fairview to the Thunderdome, Saturday, Jan. 6.

Williams opened the game with a three-pointer and then ended a 9-0 run with a steal and layup.

Archbold’s press helped cause turnovers that led to easy points and a 16-6 firstquarter lead.

Ramos opened the second quarter with a three, while B. Williams followed with five straight points, including a rare four-point play, for a 24-6 lead.

The Apaches stopped the run with their only bucket of the quarter, but Archbold then scored 10 points to lead 34-8 at the half.

“I thought we had a lot of energy out there,” said Doug Krauss, AHS head coach. “We turned them over a few times and got into them. We have enough guys that I think can put decent pressure on, and we did.”

Fairview scored a three to open the third, but Wiemken scored four straight with Kaiden Bedsole also scoring for a 40-11 advantage.

After an Apache bucket, Archbold scored five straight, but Fairview scored the final six points of the quarter to trail 45-19.

Krauss threw his starters out on the floor to start the fourth quarter and built a 35-point lead, 54-19.

With 5:39 left, the bench players finished the game.

“They (Fairview) are young kids, but young kids who are athletes,” said Krauss. “They are going to develop into some nice young players, but we didn’t want to see it tonight.”

Archbold shot 50% from the field on 20-40 shooting with eight three-pointers while holding Fairview to 11- 28 shooting for 39%.

“I thought we had a lot of good shots and we had good looks that didn’t fall,” said Krauss. “I’m waiting for that night when we really get going.

“I’ve seen it in practice, but practice and games are two different things.”

Williams led all scorers with 16 points.

Ramos netted 14 points with four treys. Wiemken contributed 12.

Chayse Singer led Fairview with 10.
