Old Photo Corner

A 1910 postcard of downtown Archbold shows the Norton’s Hotel sign above the hotel entrance. The hotel was located above Rupp Bros., Dry Goods & Shoes, now Lauber Clothing. At the very far left is a wood frame building W.O. Taylor tore down for the present day Archbold Buckeye. In the street, a horse-drawn wagon hauls a load of logs to the Gotshall Saw Mill.– Antique photo from David Layman
