Archbold Boys, Holgate Girls Win District Titles

The Archbold boys won the Div. III district track & field championship, Saturday, May 20, at Archbold.

The Blue Streaks finished first with 119 points. Liberty Center was second with 92, and Patrick Henry was third with 80. Pettisville was 12th with 15.

Holgate won the girls team title with 108 points. Archbold was second with 102, and Pettisville was third with 71.

Winning individual titles on Saturday:

Archbold's Lexa Richardson won the girls 100 hurdles in 15.78.

The AHS girls 4x200 relay team of Macey Rupp, Emily Roth, Gwynne Riley, and Dakota Stamm won in 1:44.26.

The AHS boys 4x200 team of Nick Waidelich, Noah Blankenship, Kegan Ott, and Jack Fisher won in 1:32.35.

The AHS girls 4x100 team of Shylo Richardson, Emily Roth, Julia Lambert, and Macey Rupp won in 51.66.

Archbold's Dakota Stamm won the 400 dash in 58.24, a district meet record. The time broke the previous record of 58.5 set in 1996 by Ayersville's Sarah DeWolfe.

Archbold's Jack Fisher won the 400 in 50.76.

Pettisville's Elizabeth Sauder won the girls 800 in 2:20.87.

Pettisville's Alexa Leppelmeier won the girls 3200 in 11:24.41.

The AHS 4x400 girls team of Julia Lambert, Emily Roth, Gwynne Riley, and Dakota Stamm won in 4:08.4.

The AHS 4x400 boys team of Deven Girdham, Noah Blankenship, Sam Petersen, and Jack Fisher won in 3:28.66.

Archbold's Sydney Ranzau won the pole vault with a vault of 9-5.

The top four finishers advance to the regionals. Others advancing from AHS & PHS from Saturday's events:

Archbold's Deven Girdham finished fourth in the boys 110 hurdles.

Pettisville's Alexa Leppelmeier finished second in the 1600. 

Pettisville's Nichole Foor finished fourth in the 1600.

The AHS boys 4x100 team of Nick Waidelich, Kegan Ott, Sam Petersen, and Clay Gerig finished second.

Archbold's Noah Blankenship finished second in the 400.

Archbold's Lexa Richardson finished second in the girls 300 hurdles.

Archbold's Clay Gerig finished third in the boys 300 hurdles.

Archbold's Gwynne Riley finished third in the girls 800.

Archbold's Caden Garrow finished fourth in the boys 800.

Archbold's Macey Rupp finished third in the girls 200.

Pettisville's Nichole Foor finished third in the girls 3200.

The PHS 4x400 girls team of Elizabeth Sauder, Nichole Foor, Morgan Leppelmeier, and Alexa Leppelmeier finished second.

Archbold and Pettisville have a combined three champions after the first day of the Div. III district track & field meet, Thursday, May 18, at Archbold.

The Pettisville girls 4x800 team of Elizabeth Sauder, Nichole Foor, Morgan Leppelmeier, and Alexa Leppelmeier won in a meet record time of 9:34.52. They broke the previous Northwest District record of 9:40.16 that they set in 2016.

Archbold's Macey Rupp won the high jump with a jump of 5-1.

Pettisville's Jaret Rychener won the high jump with a jump of 6-1.

The top four finishers advance to the regionals. Others advancing from AHS & PHS:

Boys 4x800: Archbold team of Jack Fisher, Daniel Nieves, Logan Garrow, and Caden Garrow finished second.

Pettisville's Katie Hauter finished fourth in the discus.

Archbold's Shylo Richardson finished fourth in the high jump.

Archbold's Nick Waidelich finished second in the long jump.

Archbold's Levi Carmody finished second in the shot put.
