AHS Baseball Wins Three, Loses One

AHS 4, LC 3

Liberty Center (4-4, 0-1 NWOAL) visited Archbold, Monday, April 10.

The Tigers led 3-0 before Archbold scored twice in the third and twice in the fourth for a 4-3 win in a weathershortened game.

Kade Kern drove in the winning run in the bottom of the fourth.

Rigo Ramos got the win. In five innings he gave up three runs on five hits with two strikeouts and a walk.

Bryce Williams went 2-2 at the plate with a run batted in. Trevor Rupp had an RBI single.

AHS 13, Rossford 11 8 innings

It was a back-and-forth affair when the Streaks traveled to Rossford, Tuesday, April 11.

Archbold and Rossford were tied at 5 after three when the Bulldogs scored four runs in the bottom of the fourth for a 9-5 lead.

The Streaks battled back with two runs in the fifth, three in the sixth, and one in the seventh for an 11-9 advantage.

But the Bulldogs scored twice in the bottom of the seventh to tie the score at 11.

Archbold scored two runs in the eighth to get out of town with a 13-11 win.

Rupp (2-1) got the win, pitching three innings while giving up two runs on two hits with five strikeouts and two walks.

Gabe Petersen was 4-5 at the plate with a double, triple, and three RBIs. B. Williams was 3-5 with a double and three RBIs. Kern had three singles with three RBIs. Ian Radabaugh was 3-5 with a double and one RBI. Jeron Williams had two singles and one RBI.

The two teams combined for 24 runs and 27 hits, with Archbold collecting 17 of the hits.

AHS 7, PHHS 0

Archbold was back on the road to battle the Patriots (3- 3, 0-2 NWOAL), Thursday, April 13.

The Streaks led 3-0 after three and scored four more in the final two innings for a 7-0 shutout that included 13 hits.

Sam Petersen got the shutout, giving up six hits and two walks with five strikeouts.

Kern led the way at the plate, going 3-4 with a double and an RBI. Radabaugh was 2-3 with a double and two RBIs. Brandon Miller was 2- 3 with an RBI, while B. Williams went 2-3. Toby Walker and Nic Rodriguez each had an RBI.

Perrysburg 7, AHS 5

Perrysburg (6-4) made the trek to Archbold, Saturday, April 15 in a non-league contest.

The Streaks led 2-0 after two but allowed Perrysburg four runs in the third and three runs in the fourth for a 7-2 advantage.

Archbold came back with one run in the bottom of the fourth and two in the sixth, but they weren’t enough.

Ramos (1-1) took the loss, giving up four runs on seven hits and striking out three in 2 2/3 innings.

Kern was 2-3 at the plate with a double and an RBI.

G. Petersen had two singles.
