The Patriots finished with 188, while the Vikings had 194.

Mike Rosebrook, AHS head coach, said, “163 is the best we’ve done since I started coaching.

“DJ Schroeder shot his best-ever match tonight with a 38. He hit his driver better than anyone I’ve seen this year. Even the narrow holes– he hit it right down the middle and farther than anyone all year.

“He’s always been a good chipper, but now his game is all around solid. He has worked really hard for this.”

Schroeder finished as match medalist.

“Brenden Bostelman just made the lineup since losing 50% of his matches due to open enrolling this season,” said Rosebrook.

“His 41 looks to be about his average game, although I think he will do better very soon. That’s a surprise addition to our season.

“They’re both seniors. He hits it a long ways, too.

“He made some positive changes to his swing this summer and played in every summer tournament. It shows.

“Ian Radabaugh is currently making the same swing change, so his ball striking is off, but his short game is so good he still shot a 41.

“Trevor Rupp, a sophomore, is dropping a stroke every week this season. He will put up some nice numbers regularly.”

Rupp finished with a 43. Elijah Miller shot a 45, and Brandon Miller had a 46.

“We have a couple freshmen who can play that may make the lineup by tournaments,” said Rosebrook.
