Seek Burglary Suspect

Archbold police are seeking the help of the public in locating a suspect from an apparent attempted burglary, Wednesday, June 18.

A juvenile told police at about 2:30 pm, they were home in the 200 block of Wilson Street, when they discovered an unidentified man standing in the living room.

Police said a dog at the residence had “latched onto” the suspect’s sleeve, but the suspect was able to get away.

The police report indicates the suspect fled to the north, in the direction of Park Street.

Nothing of value appeared to have been taken.

The suspect is described as being a white male, 6 feet to 6-2 tall, wearing dark clothing. Officers searched the area, but did not locate the suspect.

Anyone who observed a subject matching the description in the Wilson Street-Park Street neighborhood around the time of the incident is asked to contact Archbold police.

Officers are investigating.
