World Hunger Banquet

The AHS Family Community and Career Leaders of America (FCCLA) hosted a World Hunger Banquet, Friday, May 16, in the AHS cafeteria. The dinner was proportional to world conditions, so 50% of those who attended sat on the floor and were served rice and beans, representing the portion of people in the world who are starving; 35% sat at tables and were served rice and beans; and 15% of those who attended were provided with a full six-course meal. A representative of the Children’s Hunger Alliance spoke at the event. Seated on the floor are, from left: Heather Ruffer, Jennifer Beck, Blake Rupp, Jack Rupp.– photo by David Pugh
