Seven-Year-Old Root Beer Taken, Drank In Breaking And Entering
A person or persons drank six bottles of seven-year-old root beer after breaking into a storage space on Stryker Street, an Archbold police report states.
Police were dispatched to a storage unit owned by Larry Frey at 507 Stryker Street on Tuesday, May 1, where they were told a lock on the door of a building had been removed. The lock was removed sometime after Feb. 29.
A search of the contents owned by Richard Knape, Defiance, revealed nothing was missing, but someone drank the root beer, which was part of a commemorative set.
The loss was placed at $7.
The case is closed.
