Archbold 7th Grade Boys Basketball

The Streaks hit the road to battle Tinora, Tuesday, Jan. 17. Down 16- 11 at the half, Archbold outscored the Rams 17-8 in the second half to come away with a hard-fought 28- 24 victory. Jereme Rupp and Jack Fisher combined for 19 points in the victory.

The Blue Streaks were back on the road to Montpelier, Thursday, Jan. 19. Archbold outscored the Locos in every quarter to come away with a 31-14 victory. Ian Radabaugh, Bryce Huber and Gerson Calderon combined for 11 points.

Archbold went 3-0 in last week’s action to up its record to 10-4.

The 9-1 Liberty Center Tigers visited AMS, Monday, Jan. 23. In a close game, the third quarter proved to be the difference as the Streaks outscored the Tigers 11-4 to come away with a hard-fought 31-27 victory. Radabaugh led the way with four three-pointers for his 12 points.

Sylvania St. Joe visited AMS, Tuesday, Jan. 24. In a tightly contested game, the Streaks squeaked out a 41- 35 victory. Fisher and Toby Walker combined for 16 in the victory. Alex Cline came off the bench for five big points to spark the Streaks.

The Streaks hit the road to battle Delta, Thursday, Jan. 26. Archbold opened up a 26-7 halftime lead and coasted to a 33-12 victory. Rupp bucketed 11 in the victory.

Archbold 8th Grade Boys Basketball

Archbold pulled off its biggest win of the season, upsetting previouslyundefeated Tinora 33-31, Tuesday, Jan. 17. With the score tied and playing for the last shot, Derek Walker drove the lane and dished off to Mike Weigand for the winning basket. The Streaks outworked and outhustled the Rams to pull off the upset.

Jeremy Lerma hit some big shots, while fellow guard Matt Kinsman played a great floor game, dishing out seven assists. Benny Gomez hit two big three-pointers late in the game, while Jacob Rodriguez hauled in some crucial rebounds.

Archbold was in trouble at halftime at Montpelier, Thursday, Jan. 19, until the Streaks turned up the heat defensively in the second half, winning 33-18. Elijah Miller and A.J. Short came off the bench to spark the Streaks along with Elijah Robison, Justin Coffey, Seth Mayer, and Ben Bucklew.

Liberty Center came to Archbold Monday, Jan. 23, and upset the Blue Streaks 32-29. Weigand led all scorers with 14 points.

The Streaks bounced back with a big second half, Tuesday, Jan. 24, to beat Sylvania St. Joe 42-31. Walker and Gomez each tallied 12 points while Weigand, Short, Lerma, and Kinsman finished out the scoring.

Putting together another strong second half at Delta, Thursday, Jan. 26, Archbold downed the Panthers 45-33 to up their season record to 10-4. Gomez worked his way for 20 points to lead all scorers. Mayer and Robison came in off the bench to help lead the Streaks to the victory.
