Abby Short led AHS with 22 points, 12 of which came in the first quarter.

The Streaks (10-0) outscored the Cats 20-18 in the second and third quarters for a 40-23 lead going into the fi- nal eight minutes. Napoleon roared back in the fourth, outscoring AHS 18-7 for the six-point difference at the buzzer.

Archbold scored only one field goal in the fourth, but converted five of 10 foul shots.

“It was nice to get this win,” said Brian Ziegler, AHS head coach. “I thought we played well the first three quarters.

“Give credit to Napoleon. They started to make plays and we didn’t take care of the ball. That combination led to Napoleon getting back into the game.

“The huge start was a big key, and Abby Short getting off to a hot start was a huge factor as well. We did a nice job getting the ball to Abby where she could score.

“Taylor Coressel had another solid game and gave us some good scoring from the point.”

Coressel was the only other Blue Streak in double figures, with 12.

Alexa Sonnenberg was the only Wildcat (4-4) in double figures, with 10.

Archbold was 15-23 at the foul line, while Napoleon was 5-9.

The Streaks out-rebounded the Cats 19-14. Chelsea Goebel led AHS with five.
