Archbold police officers met with Amanda Jo Cardwell, Archbold, on Sunday, Oct. 23, at Archbold Sunoco, her place of employment.

She filed a complaint about a male subject that allegedly is menacing her about a dog.

Cardwell said she received the dog as a gift, but now the subject wants it back.

In speaking with the subject and his wife, the couple claimed the dog is stolen. They said they would file a police report later.

The subject was advised to have no further contact with Cardwell.

The case is marked closed.

Police also are looking at an incident that occurred on Thursday, Oct. 20, when a male subject called the Archbold High School, reporting a particular student wouldn’t be in school that day.

However, the student mentioned by the caller was in class.

Officers are looking into a possible violation of a nocontact court order.
