Daniel W. Nafziger
Daniel W. Nafziger, age 61 years, of Archbold, passed away Monday morning, Aug. 8, 2011, in his home from PML.
He was born April 10, 1950, at Wauseon, the son of Vern J. and Evelyn (Nofziger) Nafziger, and married Shirley Nofziger on June 26, 1971.
A lifelong resident of the Archbold area, he was a livestock and grain farmer. He served in IW at Portland, Ore.
He was a member of Central Mennonite Church near Archbold where he passionately served the Lord in various capacities.
One of his joys was spending time with family and playing with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; four children, Jacob Nafziger of Archbold, Amy (Ross) Springer of Middlebury, Ind., Lincoln (Jen) Nafziger of Archbold, and Rachel (Brian) Oswald of Sturgis, Mich.; eight grandchildren, Allie, Wade, and Brett Springer, Tessa, Gage, and Trey Nafziger, and Carter and Madelyn Oswald; his mother, Evelyn Nafziger of Archbold; five sisters, Melda (Larry) Richer of Wauseon, Esther (Wendell Badertscher) Nafziger of Bluffton, Julia (Neal) Beck, Norma (Doug) Kauffman, and Karleen Behnfeldt, all of Archbold; and a sister-in-law, Carolyn Nafziger of Pioneer.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Mervin Nafziger.
Memorial services will be held on Friday at 4 p.m. at the Central Mennonite Church with Pastors Jeffrey Smith, Bill Holsopple, and Wanda Stopher officiating.
Interment will precede at 2:30 p.m. on Friday in the Pettisville Cemetery with Pastors Wendell and Melanie Nofziger officiating.
Friends may call at the Central Church Fellowship Hall from 2-8 p.m. on Thursday.
