Nofziger Beaten On Kart Track By Archbold Racer
After more than 20 straight feature wins, Vance Nofziger, Pandora, formerly of Archbold, was finally beaten at the kart racing track at Fort Wayne, Ind.
Nofziger basically owned a couple of classes at the Fort Wayne track for almost three years. But on Friday, July 29, he was second to 16-year-old Jeremy Mann, Archbold.
John Huffman, veteran Archbold kart racer, said when Mann took the track, it was his first race in the adult divisions. He swept two heat races and the feature in stock medium. Nofziger was second to Mann in all three races.
It wasn’t that bad a night for Nofziger. In the econo senior class he won the feature event, his 20th straight for that class.
Huffman was the winner in the super heavy class that night. Other Results
July 15: Huffman won both heats and the feature in super heavy class at Fort Wayne.
July 22: Nofziger won both heats and the feature in super heavy at Fort Wayne. Huffman was second in each event.
