School Lunch Prices Higher Next Year
Prices for lunches in Archbold school cafeterias will increase 10 to 15 cents next school year.
David Deskins, Archbold Area School District superintendent, said the increase is the result of a request from the United States Department of Agriculture Food and Nutrition Service to more closely align reimbursable meal costs with the charges currently in place for all other students.
A school lunch at Archbold Elementary School increases 15 cents, to $1.85.
At the Archbold Middle School, lunch costs will increase 10 cents, to $2.10.
High school lunch prices increase to $2.60, a 10-cent price hike.
Milk goes up five cents to 45 cents per container.
