Aurthur A. Stuckey

Aurthur A. Stuckey, age 87 years, of Archbold, passed away Saturday evening, April 16, 2011, at the Fulton County Health Center in Wauseon.

He was born Jan. 8, 1924, near Archbold, the son of Aaron and Sarah (Eicher) Stuckey, and married Mary Ellen Schaffner on Jan. 4, 1958.

He lived his entire life in the same farmhouse, and was a farmer. He was a member of the Archbold Evangelical Church and the Gideon’s International.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen; four children, Denise (Kurt) Birky of Gibson City, Ill., Dan (Julie) Stuckey of Archbold, Nancy (Blane) Steckly of Milford, Neb., and Mark (Chrissy) Stuckey of Archbold; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandson; one brother, Ivan Stuckey of Burr Oak, Mich.; and one sister, Clara Frey of Wauseon.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Walter, Chester, Joseph, Earl, and Donald; and one sister, Anna Aeschliman.

Memorial services will be held today, Wednesday, at 11 a.m. at the Archbold Evangelical Church with Pastor Jesse Kahler and Rev. Charles Zimmerman officiating. Interment will precede in the Lockport Cemetery.

Short Funeral Home in Archbold has been entrusted with the arrangements.
