Pettisville Baseball Picks Up First Win

Pettisville picked up its first win with an 18-5 drubbing of Swanton, Tuesday, April 5.

The Birds exploded for 14 runs in the bottom half of the first inning and pounded out a total of 15 hits. Pettisville’s four other runs came in the third.

Jacob Rupp went 2-4; Philip Roth, 3-4 with a double; Kyle Graber, 2-3; Zach Pursel, 1-3 with a double; Jacob Roth, 3-3; and Travis Beck, 2-2.

P. Roth recorded the win. In three innings he gave up one earned run on one hit, struck out two, and walked one. PHHS 14, PHS 4

The Birds traveled to Patrick Henry, Thursday, April 7 and suffered a 14-4 loss.

PH pounded out 13 hits to Pettisville’s seven. Rupp hit a double while a flock of Birds (P. Roth, Graber, Alex Roth, J. Roth, Aaron Bruner, and Cam Norris) scattered singles.

Klopfenstein suffered the loss. In three innings he gave up 10 runs, with four earned, on nine hits, struck out two and walked two.
