Orville L. Fricke

Orville L. Fricke, age 75 years, of Archbold, passed away Thursday morning, March 17, 2011, at CHP Defi- ance Area In-Patient Hospice Center.

He was born April 26, 1935, near Archbold, the son of Jacob and Myra (Seiler) Fricke, and married Delight Grieser on May 9, 1954.

A lifelong resident of the Archbold area, he was a dairy farmer until 1971. He, with his wife, operated a foster home farm for 42 teenage boys over the course of 14 years.

In 1974 he with his brother Bill started Bo-Dec Inc. at Archbold. He led many mission trips over seas to the Dominican Republic and Africa.

He was also involved with local and regional ministries and served on the boards on many outreach ministries.

He was a member of Crossroads Evangelical Church in Wauseon.

He is survived by his wife, Delight; three children, Rick (Kathy) Fricke of Pandora, Rob (Audrey) Fricke and Melanie Yoder, both of Archbold; eight grandchildren; a greatgranddaughter; and a brother, William Fricke of Archbold.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Marcia Dee; a sonin law, James Yoder; and a sister, Leanna Sundberg.

A memorial service was held on Monday at 10 a.m. at the Crossroads Evangelical Church with Pastors Matt Boyers and Tyler Quillet offi- ciating. It was Orville’s wishes to be cremated.
