2:35 pm: Juveniles near and on road, 400 block S. Defiance St., spoke to parents. Jan. 17
1:01 am: Suspicious person, 500 block Haven Dr., checked area, no one around.
7:09 pm: A semi truck, driven by Dane A. Howell, 48, of Aken, S.C., was traveling on N. Defiance St., and was stopped at the Stryker St. intersection. Howell turned right on St. Rt. 2, and struck the protective bollard, a crossing signal, and a light pole on the northwest corner of the intersection. Howell was sighted for an improper right turn.
7:21 pm: A sport-utility vehicle, driven by Steven M. Fryman, 62, Archbold, was traveling east on West Barre Rd., and was waiting to turn left into a driveway at 508 West Barre Rd. A pickup, driven by Kevin L. Meyers, 53, Archbold, owned by Sauder Woodworking, was traveling west on West Barre Rd. Fryman made the turn and collided with the pickup. Fryman was cited for failure to yield the rightof way while turning left.
7:21 pm: Citation to Kevin L. Meyers, 53, Archbold, for disobeying a traffic signal, N. Defiance St. at Stryker St. Jan. 18
12:35 pm: A car, driven by Austin J. Baldwin, 26, Archbold, was driving south in the parking lot at Terry Henricks Chrysler-Dodge- Jeep, and was pulling into a parking space. When Baldwin attempted to stop the brakes failed, causing the vehicle to go over the curb and strike the building. Jan. 19
10:42 am: Disabled semi truck in turn lane, 900 block West Barre Rd.
11:45 am: Disabled semi in middle of the road, 100 block S. Defiance St., gone when officer arrived.
12:37 pm: Report of a subject providing a younger subject with beer, Circle K, unable to locate. Nov. 20
11:27 am: Assist rescue squad, 100 block S. Defiance St., subject fell outside.
12:12 pm: Intoxicated subject called 911 to talk, Fairlawn Apartments, warned subject against practice.
3:22 pm: Transported female juvenile to East Gardens.
9:28 pm: Citation to Richard C. Engler, 41, rural Stryker, for driving while license suspended, 1900 block S. Defiance St.
11:33 pm: Noise complaint, East Gardens, unfounded. Nov. 21
No reports. Nov. 22
6:30 pm: Child’s jacket in snow bank, 200 block S. Defi ance St, was not a jacket, remains of cardboard box discovered.
Note: During the preceding week, Archbold police offi cers gave verbal warnings for no headlights and no taillights.
