Pettisville House Fire
A firefighter crouches near the front door of the home of Tony and Chelsea Eash, 172 Main St., Pettisville, as smoke billows out Monday night, Jan. 24. Marv Wheeler, Wauseon Fire Department chief, said they were called to the home at about 5:57 pm. Morenci and Archbold fire departments also responded. He said family members escaped, and firefighters rescued two cats. The cause was traced to the area of a gas clothes dryer. He estimated damage at $75,000 to the structure and $25,000 to the contents.– photo by D. J. Neuenschwander
