Man Sentenced For Setting Wife Ablaze

Eugene E. Snyder, 64, rural Delta, was sentenced to seven years in prison on Wednesday, Oct. 6, after he set his wife on fire.

Scott Haselman, Fulton County prosecuting attorney, said in a press release that on Jan. 26, Snyder and his wife were involved in a domestic dispute.

Haselman said during the dispute, Snyder “knowingly caused serious physical harm to his wife by pouring rubbing alcohol on her and setting her on fire.”

Once released from prison, Snyder will be placed on post-release control for three years.
