Oct. 10

1:42 am: Unwanted subject, Nu-Arch Lanes, advised subject not to be on property.

9:19 pm: Small black dog running loose, 600 block S. Defiance St., placed in pen, notified dog warden.

Oct. 11

3:20 pm: Found property, 500 block Stryker St., returned to owner.

4:11 pm: Domestic disturbance, Circle K.

Oct. 12

9:16 am: A sport-utility vehicle, driven by Alysa A. Short, 37, Archbold, was traveling east on W. Williams St., and stopped at the intersection of N. Defiance St. Short drove forward for traffic on N. Defiance St., but then started backing to allow a pedestrian to use the crosswalk. Her vehicle collided with a van, driven by Marta A. Stoepfel, 33, rural Delta, owned by the Fulton County Commissioners, which was stopped behind the sport utility. Short was cited for violating rules for starting and backing vehicles.

2:30 pm: A car, driven by Margaret L. Hughes, 59, rural Archbold, was backing from a parking place in the Fairlawn Haven apartment complex and was stopped in the lane of travel. A second car, driven by Dale Ledyard, 74, Archbold, was traveling north in the parking lot. The two vehicles collided.

8:53 pm: Russell E. Mc- Quillin, 209 N. Clyde’s Way, reported that sometime between 6 pm and 7 pm, his mailbox had been damaged. The mailbox was torn off the top of the post, and the post was broken off at ground level. Damage: $50.

Oct. 13

4:13 pm: 911 hang-up call, 200 block E. Williams St., false alarm.

Oct. 14

7:49 am: Violation, vehicle parked on private property without permission of the owner, Laundry Room laundromat.

2:05 pm: Report of subject dead on arrival, 224 Linda Ct.

2:15 pm: Assist Archbold Fire Department, Colony Meadows.

3:40 pm: Disabled vehicle, 100 block E. Williams St.

4:01 pm: Verbal warning for driving with headphones on, 700 block E. Williams St.

8:29 pm: Assist Fire Department, 300 block Stamm St.

Oct. 15

12:49 am: Assist Ohio State Highway Patrol, Ditto St. at W. Holland St.

10:53 am: A representative of Circle K reported a male subject driving a small green car pumped $25 worth of gasoline into the vehicle, then drove off without paying at about 6:17 pm the preceding evening.

1:20 pm: Found purse, 700 block E. Lutz Rd., released to owner.

2:20 pm: Found red bag.

Oct. 16

8:13 pm: Menacing complaint, East Gardens.

7:12 pm: Verbal warning for riding bicycles on downtown sidewalks, 200 block N. Defiance St.

Note: During the preceding week, Archbold police offi cers gave verbal warnings for speeding, no taillights, improper lane use, driving with one headlight, peeling, and driving with a loud muffl er.
