Theft Cases Reported

Two thefts were reported to Archbold police officers last week.

On Tuesday, July 20, Amber Nicholls, Archbold, told officers she used her debit card in an automatic teller machine at the Farmers & Merchants State Bank South Defiance Street branch office on Friday, July 16.

She drove away from the ATM, forgetting to remove the card from the machine.

She realized the card was missing on Sunday, July 18.

The following day, she informed the F&M, who reported the card had been used numerous times.

A representative of Circle K told officers the driver of a green sport-utility vehicle, possibly a GMC Jimmy, pumped about $30 of fuel and drove off without paying.

The vehicle has a large Detroit Tigers emblem on the rear window.

The incident occurred between 10:24 and 10:30 am, Thursday, July 22.

In the language of flowers, the plant known as the houseleek symbolizes vivacity and industry. It is believed to have medicinal properties similar to the plant aloe vera.
