Grounded

Two of the four 100-foot light poles from the Archbold High School football stadium lie on the ground. They were taken down Tuesday, July 20. Poles built by the same Texas-based manufacturer developed cracks at the base, which resulted in 11 toppling in other areas. School officials are trying to locate replacements in time for the 2010 football season. Allan Gladieux, AHS athletic director, said the old poles will be sold for scrap; the lights can be reused.–photo by David Pugh Two of the four 100-foot light poles from the Archbold High School football stadium lie on the ground.
