Winter’s Biggest Blast Yet

Tuesday’s snowfall was probably the biggest blast of this winter. Workers from the Archbold Street Department were out early Tuesday morning clearing the streets, but Dennis Howell, Archbold village administrator, said they couldn’t keep up with the rate the snow was falling. Their priorities were to keep emergency routes and main streets clear, then work residential streets. “You try to hold your own until it slacks off. Then you either send your guys home to get some sleep, or start digging out,” removing snow from piles left by the plows, Howell said.
