LED Lights Stolen From Parked Trucks
      A Scottsdale, Pa., company suffered a loss of $300 after five sets of light-emitting diode (LED) taillights were stolen from trucks parked in the village. Penn Line Tree Trimming Service, working in the village, had trucks parked in the truck lot at the rear of Friendship Food Mart.

Woman Indicted On DUI Charge
      Jessica M. Lacey, 31, Archbold, was indicted on two counts of operating a vehicle while intoxicated by the Fulton County grand jury. Scott A. Haselman, Fulton County prosecuting attorney, said Lacey allegedly operated a motor vehicle while intoxicated on or about Dec. 29, 2009. Jury Convicts Kansas Man
      Edward B. Martin, 40, Topeka, Kan., was found guilty by a Fulton County jury, Wednesday, Jan. 27, on drug-related charges. Martin was convicted of possession of marijuana, trafficking in marijuana, permitting drug abuse, and possession of criminal tools. The jury of nine men and three women deliberated about four hours, after a trial of almost two days.

Woman Reports Broken Rear Car Window
      Yvonne Eberly, 137 Garden Dr., told Archbold police officers the rear window of her car was broken sometime between 3 pm, Friday, Jan. 22, and 1:30 pm, Wednesday, Jan. 27. Eberly told officers she didn’t know if the window was broken intentionally, but she discovered someone had gone through the glove compartment, and a rear door was ajar.

      Kaitlyn A. Knox, 22, Stryker, and her newborn daughter Addison Kaitlyn Knox, who died as a result of an auto accident, had ties to Archbold. Addison’s father and Kaitlyn’s boyfriend, Jake Nafziger, Stryker, is an AHS graduate.

Traffic Deaths Down In Fulton County
      The number of people who died as a result of automobile mishaps is either down by three or down by one, depending on how the statistics are counted. The Ohio Department of Public Safety, as confirmed by the Fulton County Sheriff Department, states that there were five fatal accidents which resulted in five deaths on Fulton County highways during 2009.

Minivan, Deer Collide Jan. 22
      Michael E. Birkey, 45, rural Archbold, was involved in a crash when the minivan he was driving hit a deer about 5:44 am, Friday, Jan. 22. on Co. Rd. F, two-tenths of a mile west of Co. Rd. 25. The Fulton County Sheriff Department report states Birkey was driving east on Co. Rd. F when the collision occurred. No injuries.
