Kaitlyn Alexandra Knox

Kaitlyn Knox Kaitlyn Knox Kaitlyn Alexandra Knox, age 22, of Stryker, died at 9:47 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010, at Defiance Regional Medical Center in Defi- ance, shortly after the birth of her daughter, Addison Kaitlyn Knox, from injuries sustained in an auto accident in Defi- ance County earlier that morning.

Addison died on Friday, Jan. 29, 2010, at Toledo Children's Hospital, where she was transferred after birth.

Kaitlyn was a 2005 graduate of Edon High School, Edon, where she was active in volleyball, basketball, softball and track.

She was a 2008 graduate of Defiance College, where she earned a degree in business and was currently the office manager for Knox Textiles in Edgerton.

She loved to cook, work with crafts and spend time with her daughter, Nadaly.

Kaitlyn Alexandra Knox was born on April 3, 1987, in Bryan, the daughter of Robert P. and Lisa (Beck) Knox.

Kaitlyn is survived by her parents, Robert P. Knox, of Edgerton, and Lisa Beck, of West Plains, Mo.; a daughter, Nadaly; one sister, Sarah Brodhead, of Grand Rapids, Mich.; a half-brother, Garrett Trausch, and a half-sister, McKenna Trausch, both of Edon; paternal grandmother, Phyllis Knox, of Edgerton; maternal grandparents, George and Betty Beck, and maternal great-grandmother, Clara Chesier, all of West Plains, Mo.; and her boyfriend, Jake Nafziger, of Stryker.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Robert Knox.

Addison is survived by her father, Jake Nafziger; a sister, Nadaly Knox; maternal grandparents, maternal greatgrandmother, maternal greatgreat grandmother; paternal grandparents, Dean and Sue Nafziger, of Archbold; and her paternal great-grandparents, Ralph and Hazel Rychener, of Pettisville.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010, after 2 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan.

Services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010, at 11 a.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, with Pastor Matt Brown officiating.

Interment will follow in Fountain Grove Cemetery, Bryan.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in the name of Kaitlyn Alexandra Knox and Addison Kaitlyn Knox may be given to a trust fund to be established for Nadaly Knox.
