Darrell Merillat, Fulton County sheriff, said foul play was not suspected in the death of Robert D. Miller, 53, Archbold.

Sheriff deputies and the Wauseon Rescue Squad were called about 11:07 am, Friday Jan. 22, to a wooded area along St. Rt. 2, east of Pettisville, in Clinton Township.

When they arrived, they found Miller deceased.

The case is being handled as an apparent suicide, but Merillat said the incident is still under investigation pending a ruling by Harry Murtiff, Fulton County coroner.
