The Archbold boys basketball team traveled to Ottawa-Glandorf, Tuesday, Dec. 29, looking to pick up its sixth win of the young season.
But it’s always a titanic effort when you face the Titans.
The two squads played a near-even first half, with OG holding a 23-22 lead at the break. The Titans broke down the defense of the Streaks (5-2) in the third period, pouring in 27 points to Archbold’s 18 for a 70-62 non-league victory.
The win was OG’s fourth against no losses. A trio of Titans scored in double digits. Brian Laubenthal and Ryan Kuhlman bucketed 13 points each, and Josh Johnson led the way with 14.
On Archbold’s side, Garrett Morton had a game-high 21. Luke Kammeyer chipped in 13 and grabbed nine rebounds.
The Streaks were 18-31 from the foul line for 58%, while OG was 12-16 for 75%.
