Stacy Wyse Named First Team All-Ohio
      Stacy Wyse, an Archbold High School senior, was named First Team All- Ohio in Division III by the Ohio High School Volleyball Coaches Association. Devin Newman and Emily Snyder, AHS seniors, received honorable mentions. Julie Nofziger, AHS head coach, was one of three D-III coaches receiving the Coaches Achievement Award.

Wyse, Snyder, Schmucker Earn District 7 Honors
     Stacy Wyse and Emily Snyder, Archbold seniors, received First Team District 7 honors in Division III for the 2009 volleyball season. Devin Newman was named to the second team. Julie Nofziger, AHS head coach, was named Coach of the Year. In Division IV, Chelsea Schmucker, a Pettisville senior, was named to the first team. Stephanie Yoder was named to the second team.

Snyder, Wyse First Team All-League
Nofziger Coach of Year
      Emily Snyder and Stacy Wyse, seniors on the Archbold volleyball team, were named first team All-Northwest Ohio Athletic League for the 2009 season. It is the second straight year the duo was named First Team All-League. Earning Second Team All- NWOAL honors was Devin Newman, a senior. Receiving honorable mentions were Hailey Galvan and Alyssa Schaub, seniors.

Schmucker, Yoder First Team All-BBC
      Chelsea Schmucker, Pettisville senior, and Stephanie Yoder, junior, were named First Team All-Buckeye Border Conference for the 2009 volleyball season. Receiving honorable mentions were Tessa Yoder, Laura Rupp, Lauren Bontrager, and Mackenzie Nofziger.

     The Blue Streak Soccer Club U-14 girls team placed second at the Northwest Ohio Festival Tournament in Sylvania and in the Northwest Ohio Youth Soccer League.       Alex Nafziger, PHS ‘07, scored four points, was 2-3 from the field and 3-3 from the foul line for seven points as Huntington (Ind.) University (4-0) defeated Trinity International University 92- 69, Friday, Nov. 13 in men’s basketball.

Huron Wins State Title
      Huron won the Division III state volleyball championship, Saturday, Nov. 14. The Tigers (26-3) handed Archbold its only loss of the season in the regional final. Huron defeated Bishop Fenwick in the semifinal and Frankfort Adena in the final to win the state title.
