Police Investigate Alleged Assault Case
      Archbold police officers are investigating an assault that allegedly occurred at the East Garden Apartment Complex, Friday, Nov. 13. Few details are available. Thom Ross, Archbold assistant police chief, said a 21- year-old woman who resides in the apartment complex allegedly assaulted a 17- year-old rural Archbold girl.

Breaking And Entering Turns Out To Be Accident
      What was originally reported as a possible breaking and entering turned out to be an accident. Deb Lauber, 316 Walnut Street, told Archbold police officers someone had tampered with her garage door sometime between Sunday, Nov. 8 and Friday, Nov. 13. It was later determined that a mail carrier had accidentally turned the garage door handle, locking the door.

Sauder Vehicles Damaged
      Someone smeared a sticky substance over the windows and door handles of 11 vehicles owned by the Sauder Woodworking Company sometime between 11 pm, Friday Nov. 13, and 6:45 am the following day. The damage occurred while the vehicles were parked in a company parking lot. Sauder Security reported the incident to Archbold police.

      Cathy Mielke, 53, a Pettisville Local School District teacher, was seriously injured in an auto accident in the Dayton area about 7:35 pm, Saturday, Nov. 14.

Scooter Crashes After Hitting Gravel on Road
      Otis H. Hitt, 84, Archbold was taken to the Archbold Medical Group by private vehicle after the scooter he was riding crashed about 9:35 pm, Tuesday, Nov. 3 The Fulton County Sheriff Department report states Hitt was riding eastbound on St. Rt. 2, and as he turned north onto Co. Rd. 24, he rode across gravel in the roadway, which caused him to fall. ---

Crime Stopper
      Crime Stopper is seeking $24,442 worth of equipment stolen from a barn in the 8000 block of US20, Lyons. The machinery was stolen from a barn between 4 pm, Tuesday, Oct. 20, and 10:30 am, Wednesday, Oct. 21. Missing were a diesel fourwheel drive tractor, valued at more than $16,000; a loader with a 72-inch bucket, worth $4,580; plus other equipment.

Report Released
      A hit-skip accident report was released by the Archbold Police Department. A car owned by Irene L. Lambert, Archbold, was parked at Nu-Arch Lanes, when it was struck by an unknown vehicle. The damage was done sometime between 10 pm, Friday, Nov. 6 and 1:50 am the following morning.
