Butchering Day

Traditionally, Butchering Day is the one of the last events of the Sauder Village season. A hog is butchered, showing guests how meat goes from on the hoof to on the table. Volunteers were at the Village, Saturday, Oct. 24, to help with the event. Randy Horst, Goshen, Ind., Lowell Beck, and Mike Stuckey, Archbold, from left, team up to cut apart a portion of the carcass.– photo by David Pugh Traditionally, Butchering Day is the one of the last events of the Sauder Village season.
