Oct. 18

2:29 am: Domestic dispute, 400 block West St.

2:52 pm: Loose dog, Monterey Ct., took to kennel, released to owner.

Oct. 19

12:35 pm: Found license plate, E. Beech St. at S. Defi ance St., notified owner.

Oct. 20

10:50 am: Disabled pickup, 600 block S. Defiance St., pushed off road, towing service contacted.

5:28 pm: Loose dog, owner contacted, advised to pick up at Savvy Dog.

6:41 pm: Theft, Circle K.

9:20 pm: Domestic violence, 100 block Westfield Dr.

Oct. 21

4:09 pm: A pickup driven by Jill S. Schnitkey, 40, Archbold, was traveling south on S. Defiance St. and attempted to turn right to go west on Wilson St. The vehicle overshot the intersection and struck a stop sign at the southwest corner of the intersection. Schnitkey was cited for an improper right turn, and an expired license.

5:58 pm: Fight, E. Beech St. at S. Defiance St.

Oct. 22

4 pm: A pickup driven by Jill S. Schnitkey, 40, Archbold, was traveling east on Park St. After stopping for the Franklin St. intersection, she continued east, drove off the right side of the road, and struck a utility pole. She then left the scene of the accident. She was later located and issued a citation for failure to maintain reasonable control.

12:40 pm: Dog at large, 400 block Park St., owner picked up dog, advised owner of leash law.

5 pm: A car driven by Peggy J. Rufenacht, 55, Archbold, and a second car driven by Matthew A. Stuckey, 22, rural Archbold, were stopped in traffic in the southbound lane of S. Defi- ance St., at the intersection of Elm St. A third car driven by Janice I. Foor, 66, rural Archbold, was traveling south behind the Stuckey auto. The Foor auto collided with the Stuckey car, which struck the Rufenacht vehicle. Foor was cited for failure to maintain an assured clear distance ahead.

Oct. 23

1:39 pm: Lost truck driver, 1300 block S. Defiance St., escorted to Sauder Security.

7:32 am: A sport-utility vehicle driven by Allan L. Valentine, 60, rural Archbold, was traveling east on Stryker St., while a pickup driven by Sean M. Stewart, 24, Archbold, was turning left onto Stryker St. from Christine Dr. They collided. Stewart was cited for failure to yield.

1:45 pm: A semi driven by Anthony L. Hamstra, 32, Middleville, Mich., was traveling south on N. Defi ance St. and attempted to turn right to go west on Stryker St. The semi turned too sharply, and right trailer wheels struck the bollard at the northwest corner of the intersection, damaging two trailer wheels. Hamstra was cited for violating rules for turning at intersectionsright turn.

Oct. 24

2:28 pm: Loose dog, 200 block S. Defiance St., owner advised to keep control of dog.

Note: During the preceding week, Archbold police officers gave verbal warnings for no through trucks, speeding, failure to yield, and driving without headlights.
