Polling Places, Voting Hours For Election Day On Nov. 3

Voting places across Ohio will open at 6:30 a.m. and close at 7:30 p.m. for the Tuesday, Nov. 3 fall general election.

Voting locations are unchanged for registered voters in the three Archbold precincts and German Township (Archbold School District). Those voters will cast ballots at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 700 West Lutz Road, Archbold.

Voting areas for each precinct located in the K of C Hall will be clearly marked on Election Day.

German and Clinton township voters who live in the Pettisville School District will vote at the Pettisville Park Pavilion located in the village of Pettisville.

Contested races in the western end of Fulton County include seven candidates vying for three seats on the Archbold Local School District Board of Education, six candidates for four positions on Fayette Village Council, four candidates for two Gorham Township Trustee positions, and five candidates for two Dover Township Trustee positions.

In Henry County, four candidates are running for two Ridgeville Township Trustee seats, and three candidates are running for two Freedom Township Trustee positions.

Dover Township has a 1- mill renewal levy on the ballot for fire, rescue, and ambulance protection services. Freedom Township has a 1.5-mill renewal levy on the ballot for fire protection.

There are three state issues on the ballot.

State Issue 1 is a proposed constitutional amendment authorizing the state to issue bonds to provide compensation to veterans of the Persian Gulf, Afghanistan, and Iraq Conflicts.

State Issue 2 is a proposed constitutional amendment to create an Ohio Livestock Care Standards Board to establish and implement standards of care for livestock and poultry.

State Issue 3 is a proposed constitutional amendment to amend the constitution to allow for one casino each in Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, and Toledo and distribute to all Ohio counties a tax on the casinos.

Archbold Precincts

Archbold precinct one is the east half of the village from the middle of North and South Defiance to the north side of Miller Avenue.

Precinct two is north from the middle of West Holland Street and west of the middle of North Defiance Street to the village limits.

Precinct three is south from the middle of West Holland Street and West of North and South Defiance Streets. It also includes the area south of the middle of Miller Avenue to the village limits.

Poll workers will help direct voters to the proper voting place inside the hall. Each precinct will have a sign indicating the precinct number and touch screen voting machines.

Fayette village and Gorham Township residents will vote at the Fayette Church of the Nazarene.

Franklin Township residents vote at the Franklin Township Hall, Co. Rd. L and St. Rt. 66.

Residents of Ridgeville Township vote at the Ridgeville fire station on US Rt. 6.

Freedom Township residents vote at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 16-036 Co. Rd. U, Napoleon.

Photo Identification

Voters must provide photo identification when voting. A driver license or state ID card is acceptable.

Anyone not having photo ID can show a utility bill with the person’s name and address or a government document with a current address.
