Polling Places, Voting Hours For Election Day On Nov. 3
      Voting places across Ohio will open at 6:30 a.m. and close at 7:30 p.m. for the Tuesday, Nov. 3 fall general election. Voting locations are unchanged for registered voters in the three Archbold precincts and German Township (Archbold School District). Those voters will cast ballots at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 700 West Lutz Road, Archbold.

St. John Lutheran Celebrates 150 Years
      In 1859, when St. John Lutheran Church was chartered, there was a Lutheran church built about every five miles. “There were a lot of German Lutheran farmers in this part of Henry County,” said Dale Kern, church pastor.

Voters in the Archbold Area face two township tax levy renewals plus three statewide issues when they go to the polls, Tuesday, Nov. 3. Mary E. Hollingshead, age 80, passed away early Oct. 19, 2009 at St. Vincent Hospital in Toledo. She was born on Feb. 17, 1929 in West Unity to Amos and Edna (Stipe) Stauffer. She married William (Bill) W. Hollingshead on July 1, 1951. He preceded her in death on Feb. 27, 2008. More...
