Frank Softball Coach Of Year In NWOAL

Joe Frank, varsity softball coach at Archbold High School, was named Northwest Ohio Athletic League Coach of the Year for the fourth straight year.

The Streaks ended the season with a 22-4 record.

AHS advanced to the Division III regional final before falling to Sandy Valley 1-0, Saturday, May 30.

Lauren Kern, an Archbold senior, and Courtney Day, a sophomore, were named First Team All-Northwest Ohio Athletic League for the 2009 spring softball season.

Receiving Second Team All- League honors were Andrea Allan, a junior, and Alyssa Schaub, sophomore.

Morgan Ducey and Stacy Wyse, juniors, received honorable mentions.


David Rupp, AHS senior, was named First Team All-NWOAL in baseball.

Steven Kinsman, a senior, was named Second Team All- NWOAL.

Brian Nagy, Evergreen, was named Coach of the Year.
