Streak Baseball Closes Out Season With Win

The Archbold baseball team closed out its regular season with a 4-2 win over the Northwest Ohio Athletic League rival Wauseon, Tuesday, May 19.

The Streaks, under Dick Selgo, first-year head coach, finished with a 13-10 record and was 5-3 in the league.

Archbold led 3-1 after the first inning. The Indians closed the difference to 3-2 in the fourth, but the Streaks scored another run in the fifth for the 4-2 final.

Steven Kinsman (4-2) recorded the win. In four innings on the mound he gave up two runs on three hits, struck out nine, and walked three. David Rupp pitched in relief, struck out five, and gave up no runs and no hits in three innings.

Archbold had eight hits, and was led by Kinsman and David Dominique, who each went 2- 4. Trey Westrick was 1-4 with a double and one run batted in; Paxson Miller, 1-2 with one RBI.
