Mary Nafziger, age 92 years, of Archbold, passed away Monday afternoon, May 4, 2009, at Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home in Archbold.

She was born June 4, 1916, near Archbold, the daughter of Peter and Sarah (Nofziger) Beck. She married Clifford C. Nafziger on Dec. 25, 1940, and he preceded her in death on March 24, 2008.

A lifelong resident of the Archbold area, she was a homemaker, and a charter member of the Tedrow Mennonite Church.

She is survived by two sons, Marvin (Judy) Nafziger of Albany, Ore., and Lowell (Diane) Nafziger of Goshen, Ind.; two daughters, Carol Anderson of LaCrosse, Wis., and Joyce (Lyle) Miller of Weatherford, Okla.; 15 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a daughter, Janet Leatherman; two grandchildren, Cory Leatherman and Jason Miller; and two brothers, Harley Beck and an infant Edwin.

Memorial services will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Tedrow Mennonite Church with Gloria Beck officiating. Interment will precede in the Pettisville Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Fairlawn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday.

Short Funeral Home in Archbold has been entrusted with the arrangements.

The family suggests that memorials be given to Wycliffe.
