Linda M. Shibler, age 61 years, of Ridgeville Corners, passed away Thursday afternoon, April 30, 2009, at the Toledo Hospital.

She was born Feb. 15, 1948, in Napoleon, the daughter of Herbert and Ruth (Helmke) Shibler. A lifelong resident of the Ridgeville Corners area, she worked at the law offices of Rice & Plassman in Archbold, and since at the Jewell Grain Co. for 37 years before retiring in 2006.

She was a member of St. Martin's Lutheran Church in Archbold, where she was active as a Sunday School teacher, choir member, and Women of the Church.

She is survived by one sister, Brenda Shibler of Archbold; one uncle, Fred (Leora) Helmke of Jewell; and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Mark Shibler.

Memorial services were held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Martin's Lutheran Church with Pastor Paul Reichert officiating. Interment preceded at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Archbold Cemetery.

Short Funeral Home in Archbold was entrusted with the arrangements.

The family suggests that memorials be given to St. Martin's Church or the Ridgeville Fire Department.
