Mennonite

Is Something Wrong?

What is achieved by eliminating Mennonite from Evangelical Mennonite Church?

The name Mennonite is a result of a deep struggle for Biblical truth since the mid-1500s. Goodness and Mennonite are synonymous. It has nothing to do with popular religious opinion, fashion, or style.

Mennonite is dependent on faith development and self-reliance. Popular thought is foreign. Mennonite relies on family values, truth, charity, love.

Mennonite does not compromise with human desire. It is a way of self-discipline, which translates into human love and acceptance of all people of all races.

Mennonite is Archbold, and to eliminate the word Mennonite is sad. It's like being intolerant of a lifestyle of peace, harmony, tolerance, and understanding.

Mennonite cannot be improved upon. It has stood for centuries without compromise or accommodation to popular whims.

Seeing its name disappear from one of the Archbold family of churches is heartbreaking. The Mennonite name belongs to Archbold. It's our precious heritage.
