Rev. Edward E. Keim, age 86 years, of Archbold, passed away early Friday morning, Jan. 23, 2009, at Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home in Archbold.

He was born Nov. 27, 1922, at Pittsburgh, Pa., he was the son of Frank and Margaretha (Gross) Keim, and married Margaret Aughbaugh on Aug. 17, 1946.

He was ordained to the ministry in 1951, and served Lutheran churches in California, Wisconsin, and Ohio, serving St. Martin's Lutheran Church in Archbold from 1967 to 1970.

He since worked at Quick Printing in Archbold.

He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, rural Defiance.

He is survived his his wife, Margaret; two sons, Paul Keim of Plantsville, Conn., and Joel Keim of West Unity; one daughter, Margaret "Peg" (Joe) Leschinski of Archbold; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Raymond Keim and Gilbert Keim; and one sister, Lorraine White.

Memorial services were held on Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Martin's Lutheran Church in Archbold with Pastor Tom Frey and Pastor Paul Reichert officiating. Interment preceded in the Archbold Cemetery.

Short Funeral Home in Archbold was entrusted with the arrangements.
