AHS JV Is 17-1 On Season

The Archbold junior varsity volleyball team traveled to Wauseon, Tuesday, Sept. 23. Archbold prevailed 27-25 in a hard-fought first game. The Streaks were more focused in the second and won 25-16.

Nicole Hurst had seven kills; Betsy and Sarah Wyse each had three. Laura Short served 10 aces; Amy Christman, four.

Next was a Thursday, Sept. 25 road trip to Kalida. Archbold won 25-23, 25-19. B. Wyse had six kills; Mindy Wyse, five; Alyssa Gobrogge and Hurst, four each. Lauren Stuckey had three aces.

Archbold hosted the Streak Spike-Tacular, Saturday, Sept 27. Against Hilltop, the Streaks won 25-15, 25-15. B. Wyse had eight kills; Gobrogge had four. Katherine Moody served four aces.

The Streaks faced Otsego next, and AHS won 25-7, 25- 18. B. Wyse had seven kills; M. Wyse, six; and Hurst, four. Moody and Christman each had four aces.

In the championship match, Archbold totally dominated Antwerp 25-1, 25-18. Gobrogge and M. Wyse had five kills each; Hurst and B. Wyse had four each. S. Wyse had seven aces.

The Streaks traveled to Delta, Tuesday, Sept. 30. AHS looked sluggish the first game and lost 15-25, but came back strong to win the match 25-22, 25-16 to up its record to 17-1. Hurst and B. Wyse had five kills; S. Wyse had three. Moody served seven aces.
