Assault At Bowling Lanes

Jonathan R. Gigax, 21, rural Archbold, told Archbold police he was assaulted by an unknown assailant between 12:30 am and 1 am, Saturday, July 19, at Nu-Arch Lanes, Archbold.

Martin Schmidt, Archbold Police chief, said Gigax told offi cers he was going out the back door, when he was struck in the head from behind. He did not see the person who struck him.

"The next thing he knows, he wakes up on the ground," Schmidt said.

Gigax did not seek medical treatment.

Police are investigating.
