Haley Nofziger, a Pettisville High School junior, placed second in the long jump at the Div. III state track and field meet, Friday, June 6.

Nofziger's jump was 17 feet, 3 1/2 inches. The winner, Nicole Honsaker from Mineral Ridge,  jumped 18-1.

Archbold's boys 4x200-meter relay team of Jacob Fidler, Nate Hammersmith, Breon Price,a nd Garrett Waidelich placed sixth in one minute, 31.78 seconds. Bluffton won in 1:28:47, a new state record.

Other AHS & PHS finishes:

Boys 4x800: PHS finished 11th.

Boys 4x100: AHS was 10th in the prelims, did not make the finals.

Boys 800: Archbold's Michael Volkman finished 10th.

Boys High Jump: Archbold's Colin Shannon finished 14th.

Girls 200: Archbold's Autumn Lantz finished 13th in the prelims, did not make the finals.
