Armed Robbery In Wauseon

A masked gunman held up Wauseon's Burger King restaurant during the early morning hours of Thursday, May 22, the Wauseon Police Department said.

A press release from WPD said officers were dispatched to the fast food restaurant on Airport Highway at 1:53 am on a report of armed robbery.

The police report states the gunman confronted two employees in the parking lot after closing and demanded money. He then fled on foot, heading south, with an undetermined amount of cash.

Wauseon Police describe the suspect as between 5 feet, 6 inches and 5 feet, 8 inches, weighing about 160 pounds. He was wearing dark blue pants, a black hooded sweat shirt, and a black hat. He had a bandana covering his face.
