Hornish 35th At Talladega

Sam Hornish, Jr., fi nished 35th in the Aaron’s 499 NASCAR race, Sunday, April 27 on the 2.66-mile Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway.

The Archbold High School graduate and Indianapolis 500 winner started from 37th position in his first NASCAR Cup Series start at Talladega.

Hornish’s finish was enough to maintain position in the top 35 in the 2008 NASCAR Cup owner point standings.

“We had a pretty decent car and were running well at the start,” said Hornish. “We unfortunately blew a tire and then had something happen to the engine, but we were able to fi nish the race. It wasn’t the day we hoped we would have, but we will just keep moving forward."
