MCC Names Landon Good Pitcher Of The Week

Landon Good, a Taylor (Ind.) University sophomore, has been named the Mid-Central Conference Pitcher of the Week for his performance last week against the University of Saint Francis.

Good, a business management major and 2006 Archbold High School graduate, earned a complete game shutout win at USF last Tuesday.

He allowed just two hits while striking out two in posting his third victory of the season. He walked just one batter in the 11-0 win.

During one stretch of the dominating performance, Good retired 13 straight batters. Two singles, one in the first inning and one in the seventh, are all that stood between Good and a no-hitter.

TU (25-17, 17-9) finished the regular season third in the final MCC standings. The Trojans begin postseason play today, Wednesday, in the first round of the MCC tournament.
